Double Dragon Sole Virtual Console Addition

5

The NES beat-em-up Double Dragon is the only addition to the Wii Virtual Console shopping channel this week, Nintendo has announced.

Developed by Technos Japan Corporation and released for the NES in 1988, Double Dragon is set in a post-apocalyptic version of New York City which brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee fight through to dismantle the Black Warriors street gang.

The game will be available for 500 Wii Points ($5) when the Virtual Console channel updates at 11AM Central/12PM Eastern.

I really thought they'd release Mario Kart SNES to go along with the new game. Not sure why they haven't added it yet.

Yeah they didn't do that with smash either. I think most everyone thought they would after mario and metroid releases synced up.

Some of my personal need now list:

      Mario Kart SNES, N64
      Smash Bros N64
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

      Earthbound

      Castlevania 64
      Castlevania Legacy of Darkness
      Castlevania Bloodlines

Startropics, Super Dodge Ball, the list goes on and on...

I hope they do end up releasing Earthbound, but I'm not holding my breath. :(

Well, prepare to lose $10, cause Mario Kart 64 is out now. :P

Couldnt they just release Castlevania: LOD and cover both bases? The original quests from 64 were available if you chose those characters, and the jumping mechanics were a bit better in LOD.
