Criterion Adding Motorbikes to Burnout Paradise

13
Developer Criterion Games has revealed that the fourth content update for its crash'em up Burnout Paradise (PS3, X360) will add motorbikes to the game when it arrives in August.

"Because we're dedicated to bringing you game-changing new Burnout Paradise content all year, bikes will feature their own game modes, challenges and even some new locations tailored to fit their unique performance and handing characteristics," the company wrote on its official site.

Code-named Davis, the update will also allow players to race the bikes on night-time versions of the game's tracks. The Davis update is slated to arrive in August, preceded by the Cagney update and its new multiplayer modes in June.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

yeah, wtf? now the update with online marked man, road rage, and stunt run is definitely release first, patch later. but at least it's coming.

they didn't have to do that, or add bikes & night, or new islands. crazy! i sold the game along with my 360, but i may pick it up again on the PS3 when some of these updates are out.

The "new" island was on the earliest promotional pictures of the city map. They cut it out so they could sell it to you later. Its an airport, which is why you are seeing planes.

yeah, i remember that map, even posted it here a few times comparing it to the final map before the game came out claiming they were going to charge us for it later. but it's still going to be "new" for the players when it comes.

Eh, I'll exercise my right to pass on DLC (which wouldn't be free anyways) as I passed on the game since it felt incredibly shallow and incomplete.
