Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 to Arrive on Virtual Console, Boogerman and Clayfighter Too

Following the recent revelation that publisher Interplay would be reviving its classic properties, the long-dormant company has announced that four of its older titles will be released on the Wii's Virtual Console service.

The eccentric platformers Earthworm Jim, Earthworm Jim 2, Boogerman, and the clay-based fighting game Clayfighter are all expected to arrive as Wii Shop Channel downloads later this year.

In its announcement, Interplay confirmed that the Virtual Console releases will be the Sega Genesis versions. No price point was named, though most Sega Genesis games sell at 800 Wii Points ($8).

I'm a young gamer And I remember this being one of the first home console games I played :D. It's gonna be nice reliving old memories of hangin out with my dad playing games while my family was out to the movies or something useful :).

This is cool, but I'm rather bummed we're not getting the best versions of EWJ 1 & 2. The best version of EWJ 1 was, surprisingly, on the Sega CD. It had new levels and everything.

And if I'm remembering right, the best edition of EWJ 2 was on the Saturn.
