New Backbreaker Media Tackled

New screenshots and a gameplay movie are now available for Backbreaker (PS3, X360), the upcoming football game from NaturalMotion.
The shots and video feature Tackle Alley, a mini-game meant to show off dynamically generated tackles courtesy of NaturalMotion's euphoria animation engine. Euphoria is also used in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

This stuff should be implemented in all sports games!
EA in particular need to pay attention, since they are sitting on so many major licenses. It gets tiresome with noclip mode = on a lot of the time.

Such terrible tackling by the defenders, they only rely on hits to tackle instead of using their arms and such like you'd see in a real game.

It looks a lot better, running is pretty stilted, though. And as I've said before, actual gameplay needs to be seen, or it's just the physics-engine equivalent of Madden.
