Anyone else playing After Doomsday? www.afterdoomsday.com
For the few shackers that are, make sure to put "Fallout Shackers" in your sig so we can somewhat easily identify each other. Obviously no attacking, looting, etc, each other, and if we need to take down a higher level guy, we can all team up and kick his bitch ass down!

Is Parallax Mapping good? I just downloaded a script that is suppose to make crysis look prettier:

All I want to do is make my own high density malleable explosive hypoallergenic dog shampoo that the vet recommended, I need damn near a gallon of the stuff and he said I could make it rather than paying $200+ / gallon.

How about a daily LOTRO thread?

So our kinship is getting BIG. More and more people are joining. We now have several teirs of players:
- quite a few around 15
- Another group around 20-25
- And another group power-leveling up in the 30's

I don't want anyone to feel they are getting behind the curve, just realize there are PLENTY of people around your level. Look for ways to help people out and you will quickly gain people you can quest with. No matter the level there should not be a lack of people to play with.

Post your name and a time when you will be on in this thread if you need an invite to the kinship.

OK, here is where we bitch about wimp gamers who are afraid of a challenge running the review biz:

Specifically: BAROQUE

When was the last time you played a deep real-time Rouguelike in 3D (1st or 3rd person options) with endless mysterious unidentified objects, constantly depleting vitality, full randomization; with awesome, pulse-racing music, intensely strange cybernetic monstrosities to fight and a story that is an unfolding mystery your (many) deaths will slowly reveal to you?

With no cliche elves or goblins and tons of very dark, bleak and unnerving imagery and ambiance. With not a single thing spelled out or tutorialized, as if you've never played a game before.

This is hands-down one of the most fun and surprising dungeon crawlers I've ever played- it's no wonder it's considered a classic in Japan. And the meager reviews out there are appallingly low. Don't be fooled- if you want to step up from handheld or no-graphics PC freeware rougelikes, you will be thrilled with this game.

So who are you looking forward to playing GTA4 with the most and why? I've got to say that Ajax ranks pretty damn high up on my list. I can't think of anyone who talks so much smack so well, I know it'll be a blast. Raoul Duke is high up there too, but only because I can't remember if he plays games still. Same with armybob and degenerate. edgewise is amazing in anything teambased, so he'll be hilarious. Maybe get some emocore pandastrong and sexpansion pack up in here as well.

I wanted to play with tomservo but then he got a PS3. =(

does anyone else have problems with flash?
most the time it'll be fine, then every once in a while it'll play about 2 seconds, without sound and then stop playing.
i have to close the browser and re open it to alleviate the problem.

Despite my continued disappointment with Rivers and co. after Pinkerton, I am admittedly excited to check out their new album slated for June 24th. The rumor is that it will be the self-titled Red Album.

They have released a 30 sec clip of the 1st single "Pork and Beans" due 4/22:

alright you shackerheads,

it looks like i will be moving to Grand Rapids, MI in the next few weeks for work. i will probably be there for about a year or so. has anyone lived there, currently live there, or have any general experience with the town? i've only driven through thanks vers2d. from what i hear it is pretty meh and i am not thrilled.

so, is there anything to do there? is it a good place to live? what should i know? any areas i should avoid when looking for an apartment?
