Final Fantasy IV DS Shots Include Creepy Octopus

With Final Fantasy IV (DS) slated to arrive in North America on July 22, developer Square Enix saw it fit to provide us with some new screenshots from the full-fledged remake.

Of the three shots, one features the overall cast and another is a still from a CG cinematic, with the last one showing off some really creepy-looking smiling octopus thing.

I wonder if it'll have full voice acting. The cutscenes would be pretty hollow without it...

- From what I've read there is voice acting in the game. I'm not sure how much though. : pinion120

I hope they left "You spoony bard!" in the translation. Other corrections would be fine but that one is timeless

I'm actually really excited about this game. I'm buying a DS to play it, if that's any indication.

This is supposed to be one of the best FF games, and I've heard all these great things about it, but I never got around to playing it.

It's not perfect, but I don't care. It's an expanded remake of the game that got me into gaming. That's more than enough to cause me to juice myself.

Octomammon. :D The way darkness (dwave, dark, whatever your translation of choice calls it) works in this game is quite odd. You use it, Cecil becomes shadowy, and every hit eats away at your health. It's not just a multiple-enemy hit anymore.
