Slated to debut in June, the episodic point-and-click adventure series will be available as a downloadable effort on both PC and Wii. Five episodes are currently planned, with Telltale hoping to release one episode a month.

Oh there will be a season 3. They have to, Sam and Max = money hats.

Telltale says there should be a season 3 but not this fall. They want to give the Sam n Max team a break from Sam n Max so they won't get burned out.

right now we are working on this and our other (still unannounced) franchise and that's it. season 3 is something we want to do, but we've got two other games and not enough people to start a third. so you won't see season 3 in six to eight months like with season 2, but it's something in everyone's head
