Square Enix today officially announced the North American release of Final Fantasy IV (NDS), a 3D reimagining of its classic SNES RPG, aimed for a July 22 release.

Originally released in Japan late last year, the full-fledged remake features 3D graphics, a new ability system, and an overhauled scenario much larger than the original game. The title also boasts voice acting during in-game cutscenes as well as internet functionality via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Final Fantasy IV will run $39.99 when it arrives. Check back later today for screenshots of the English localization, which were not available as of this writing.
