Tom Clancy's HAWX Media Has Tom Clancy Jets

by Chris Faylor, Apr 03, 2008 11:03am PDT

With word that the Tom Clancy air combat game is titled Tom Clancy's HAWX, publisher Ubisoft has issued two screenshots, a piece of concept art, and a trailer.

"Soon, flying at Mach 3 becomes a right, not a privilege," the company claimed.

Developed by the Blazing Angels team at Ubisoft Romania, HAWX is set for a fall release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

  • Said this in last night's thread, but wanted to expand a bit.

Watching the video on IGN, the HAWX pilot is taking out targets for Mitchell and the Ghosts on the ground. Kick ass! But then all the IGN article talks about is dogfighting. So I don't get it. We're getting a Ghost Recon style game, in the air with what having to do with Ghosts on the ground needing air support?

I think it would be a lot cooler if you were in the reverse role and providing the air support for the Ghosts and other missions around the world, not just this dog fighting shit. I'll get Ace Combat for that.
