The Bourne Conspiracy Game Hits June 3
by Chris Faylor, Apr 02, 2008 7:28am PDTPublisher Sierra today revealed that High Moon Studios' action-espionage effort, Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy (PS3, X360), will ship to North American retailers on June 3, followed by a European release on June 27.
According to Sierra, the title features "hunter-prey game play" that blends "hand-to-hand fighting, gunplay, and dramatic escapes," including a car chase sequence through Paris.
Said to combine material from the Bourne films and novels with new content, the game was originally announced last June. While Robert Ludlum, the author of the Bourne novels that inspired the films, died in 2001, the new story elements were approved by his estate.
Though the game does not feature the likeness of Matt Damon, who starred in the trilogy of Bourne movies, trilogy screenwriter Tony Gilroy and combat choreographer Jeff Imada participated in the game's development.
