by Aaron Linde, Apr 01, 2008 2:02pm PDTMultiple sources close to Stormfront Studios say that the developer is closing after almost twenty years in operation, according to Gamasutra.
Stormfront most recently produced a multiplatform video game adaptation of the 2008 fantasy film The Spiderwick Chronicles. The company is also known for its development of adaptations of Eragon and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, as well as a litany of other titles throughout its two decades of operation.
Gamasutra did not reveal any details surrounding the closure, and noted that no confirmation has yet been issued by Stormfront. If the studio is indeed in the process of closing, an official announcement will likely be made in the near future.
