We try our best to get working drivers and sure we might not be the best coders but god knows you're really only paying for the low end cards anyway, if people want the professional stuff they would be getting the true pro stuff, its a get what you pay for thing, so don't complain so much, we'll get the drivers working eventually.'

So, me and the gf just got a cat yesterday. he was a stray from the shelter, and he's adapting great so far. He's about 2 years old, and very mellow. Pretty damned big, too. He's got huge paws with little tufts between the toes. He's very playful, and loves to cuddle and sit in laps. He doesn't meow, either, oddly enough. He tries to (he's very talkative), but no sound comes out. So far, he's great. Our other cat however, is not at all impressed. We've got them in different rooms, and the keep smelling each other under the door. he just kind of sniffs and looks, but she hisses. So far, he hasn't shown any aggression.
here are some pics of him. He's a little bigger than he looks in the pictures. We couldn't get him to sit still. Any ideas for names?
So far, we've got: Magus, Speaker (a kzin from ringworld. gf thinks it's mean, since he can't talk), Mephistopheles, morphius, calcifur (from howl's moving castle), lucius (gf likes that name. i hate it.), crowly.
Any other names?

I made it to level 6 or 7 with my lore-master last night. Is it just me, or are lore-masters overpowered? I don't think I ever got hit for more than 1/5 of my HP, tops, and that was a triple-pull. Maybe its because I'm a veteran of MMO's in general? Who knows.
Is anyone else around the end of the Intro and interested in fellowshipping up? I'd like to try out some group tactics, especially with a guardian or champion.

I recently finished up my second Shack greasemonkey script.

It's very simple: It turns yellow text in to links to the profile of the yellow name. If you had my script installed, OverloadUT would be a link to my profile and ThomW would be a link to his profile, etc.
It's a very quick loader as I based almost all of the code on dodob's incredibly efficient Image Loader script. Thanks dodob!
It also plays nicely with Troz's excellent "Name Colorizer" script so that if you have both script installed, clicking an inline profile link will use his nifty little popup.
Notes: Yes, this script is going to turn all yellow text in to links assuming they are profile links. There is no way for me to be sure they are usernames, but I have noticed that 9 times out of 10 people use yellow to refer to usernames. Just don't click it if someone is highlighting a game name or something. :P (It actually doesn't turn it in to a link if it's more than 32 characters, so you can still highlight full sentences without worry)

put in my living room which has white walls. Its a 15' x 17' room, so I really only have room for a couch, coffee table, my computer desk, and love seat. I'm very torn about what color and type of couch, and coffee table to get. I'm thinking maybe microfiber chocalate brown couch/loveseat, with a plain black coffee table, or maybe glass top coffee table, with a matching computer desk. Please suggest something better, or perhaps illustrate it in a virtual living room for bonus points. Thanks!

I have a bit of a challenge for you. I am a huge language nerd and I spend an inordinate (perhaps unnatural) amount of time reading about linguistics in Wikipedia. Additionally, I love history too.
The problem is that Wikipedia uses the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), which is more precise, but different from the pronunciation guides you find in dictionaries. It's meant specifically to help you pronounce foreign words, but it's used for English as well.
What would be cool is a script or extension that would parse the characters in a Wikipedia entry, refer to the IPA guide, then give you the interpretation in a pop up window with each special character and it's guide equivalent so that you don't have to go back and forth to try to figure it out.

The script would have to parse the highlighted text, refer to this page, parse it and match the characters, then take the characters and their "sounds like" match, then send it back to the the pop up window (or tooltip?).
I would do this, except that I have no fucking idea how. It would really be a cool greasemonkey script or firefox extension that all Wikipedia freaks could use. Wikipedia has some of these pronunciations linked to an ogg file, but not very often.

lately my PC had been prone to random freezing, I assumed the cooler needed cleaning (I was right) but it did it again just then. I thought maybe the harddisk had a problem and I scheduled a boot time scan, rebooted, but then aborted the scan because I have to leave for work in a bit and wanted to wait until then.
I never made it back into windows, it'll get as far as the black background with the windows flag (XP) and then instantly reboot.
in an awesome twist of fate my windows CD refuses to load at all.
so I'm now posting from a linux live CD (KDE 4, looks nice)... can I run an HDD check (standard winXP file format) from within linux?

So this game is tons of fun right, I was enjoying scaring the shit out of myself with all the lights out and the sound really high with all the creepy noises. SO I think I was about at the last, or next to last level so I spent some time on the game, I go to start up my 360 to play it again, and BOOM my save flie is gone....WTF? The save file is on the 360, but Condemned 2 no longer recognizes it.....and it asks me to start a new game.....
Damn I wanted to see what happnened at the end....I don't think I will have the patience to go through the whole thing again (or maybe I'm just scared of the creepiness....)
I also googled the problem and appearently a bunch of people are having the same problem, but I WAS SOOOOO FAR!! damn....ne1 else have this gitch?
