Fresh Race Driver: GRID Media

A gameplay trailer and a foursome of screenshots are now available from Race Driver: GRID, the upcoming racing game from Codemasters. Look for this one on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS early summer.

If I can turn off all the assists and have it handle like Forza then I'm sold. I don't think I can go back to unrealistic racing games after Forza, GTR2, etc. GT5 looks pretty enough for me to want to buy a PS3 just because of it. But not if driving model sucks as bad as it has previously in the series.

Man, I've seen the GRID name thrown around a bit lately but had no idea it was a Race Driver game. ToCA is probably my favorite racer on the PC. Aside from the horrendous AI they're a top-notch racers, here's hoping they address that with this iteration. Nothing worse than an AI that considers you invisible and just turns right into you without a care in the world.

I liked this series in the beginning, it wasn't too arcadey or too sim. Hopefully this one will have a balance that will get it right. There is a severe lack of racing games on PC right now.

OMG That's beautiful. It would be awesome to have a forza/gt style racer that isnt stuck on one platform. Lets hope that we can play cross system multiplay that would be the ultimate.
