I are hoping to roll out a few improvements to FileShack over the coming couple of weeks.

Lastly, we have not forgotten the ShackCast! We are still running tests and fussing
around with the format and hosts and all that fun stuff. We just dont want it to suck too
much. We have never really felt that it was much beyond average so we're taking this
opportunity to shoot for the stars. Or perhaps slightly above average.
We had another game with 3-4 shackers for about 3 hours tonight. We basically replayed Act 3, as a couple of people needed progress there and it was reasonable XP anyway. Synn, Nali and Nandus all got some nice increases in DPS, and Chance leveled up a couple times. My own DPS is up to 250 now, and my defense rating doubled because I increased a couple of levels and was able to put on some new gear. I also switched stuff up so that I now have ~70% pierce resist and 209% stun resist. haha. The stun is overkill but I imagine that I will not always be using the combo of 3 items giving me that right now. I had zero in both resists before tonight. I think what I need next are some really nice L36 or so req armor-orientated relics. Things with a variety of (non-stun) resists or major bonuses to regens or defense.
The night ended with 4 level ~32 people taking down you-know-who with ease.

So she has now been at the BI for 17 weeks... WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!
We have still been having a hard time with bottle feeding. Syd will typically choke and gag while trying to eat from the bottle. We have tried every bottle made, different positions, and all sorts of other ideas. The team at the BI keeps preaching patients and time, however we are feeling it is something more at work.
Well the team finally relented and called in the Feed Team from children's hospital. They came over this morning and watched as my wife feed Syd. They immediately said this is not the sort of thing that will get better with time. They are going to bring her over to children's today and do a work up.
They will basically set her up with some sort of ultra sound and use some dye while she eats. They were talking about possibly thickening her food to help slow down the flow. Syd seams to have a really strong sucking reflex, but does not appear capable of handling the volume that she gets.
We are obviously conflicted now as its nice to have something being done, but its awful not knowing what the out come will be. Mom and Dad are tired, and worn out. We are getting testy, and dont have much patients or energy left.
Ill post more info later today after we find out what is going on.

So Smash Bros Brawl! I cannot stop playing this game. SSE was more fun than I thought, although that last bit got tedious. The previous missions were fun call backs to sidescroller stuff, but that end bit was like a crappy metroid-style knockoff.
But omg, can't stop playing? Who is everyone's favorite? I actually found that I'm really loving R.O.B. a lot. He's a tough little fucker who hits hard, shoots lasers, and is cute as hell. Least? I dunno, not sure yet. I fucking hate Luigi, and Fox is pretty worthless too (I always dash off the fucking stage).
Snake is by far the most entertaining to play, so tactical! He's a great break from normal play.

Two things come to mind immediately.
- Positive comments from devs not hitting the front page unlike the negative comments from devs which show up if a dev farts in the pcs direction.
- Crysis had sold over a million copies as of Feb. 1. The Shack was quick to post the article back in November about the poor sales. However since then the game has sold well. No mention of that on the Shack though. Why not?
Should the sight be rename Shack360 or Console Shack?
Maybe I'm missing those positive articles. If so I apologize to the shack. If not maybe you need some more pc gamers on your staff. How many Shack editors are serious pc gamers? Is this another issue of to many non pc gamers on staff? Game Informer for example. All of their staff except for one are console gamers. So what do we see in the magazine. 90% console info. They also always give the AA reviews to the consoles even though the game is also on pc. They rarely give the pc the props it deserves.

How do I make a transparent overlay with text in it, like Google Reader's help menu?

the worst part though? tsuba and I setting up a xbox live private chat so we can talk and me having my laptop next to me so i can use AIM with buddies from work because they don't have a 360.
I really want the Wii and PS3 to get the features and standards that the 360 has and I'd pay another $50/year to each one of them if I could get it. If Smash wasn't such a fucking awesome game with friends and offered an average experience I think I would be playing other games with friends just for the social aspect which adds such a great element.
Seriously though, Smash lives up to the hype, it's just a ton of fun. I'm online every night so add me with gamewith.us if you want to play

Rock Band Software update!
Patching in some new features.
I'm specifically excited about this one:
(New!) Music Store: Rock Band now has a new feature that lets you preview and purchase songs from within the game! Accessible from the main menu, the Music Store lets you view, purchase and sort all available music based on various categories, view album art, listen to song previews, and check out extended information about the song like difficulty for each instrument.

Sony has announced today that a new firmware update will arrive for the PS3 later this month. Version 2.20 will add support for Blu-Ray Live (profile 2.0) features such as the ability to download extra content like bonus scenes, ringtones and subtitles. Blu-Ray Live also allows interactive movie-based games to communicate over the internet -- effectively adding online multiplayer support. Other features found in firmware v2.20 include:
* "Resume play" will enable PS3 to start playing a BD and DVD video at the point it was stopped, even if the disc had been removed. (BD-J format discs are not supported)
* "Audio Output Device" will be a new Remote Play setting, enabling PSP to serve as a remote control for music played through PS3.
* PS3's Internet browser will be enhanced: Video files directly linked from a Web page will be able to be streamed, and the browser's view speed will be improved.
* DivX and WMV format videos that are larger than 2GB will be playable.
* "Mosquito Noise Reduction" will be added as an AV setting in the control panel of the DVD/BD player for improved movie playback. (BD discs recorded with BDMV format are not supported)

I'm only 5 min in but I have to ask, the way he uses the oxygen canister as a weapon, what exactly blew the guys head open? the air? or is it some kind of hammer, and would that really work in real life?
