Project Origin Trailer Is Spooky, Bloody

by Aaron Linde, Mar 17, 2008 8:02pm PDT

A trailer for Project Origin (PC, PS3, X360) has been released, showing the first glimpse of Monolith Productions' upcoming horror shooter

The game is a direct sequel to F.E.A.R (PC, PS3, X360), but was retitled in the wake of Monolith's departure from publisher Vivendi. In the aftermath of the dispute, Monolith retained rights to the characters, setting and story, while Vivendi obtained the rights to the F.E.A.R. name.

Project Origin is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall of this year.

  • The first expansion wasn't to bad. The first expansion actually looks a bit like this true sequel to be honest. Both seem to take place after the events of the original game when Alma escapes the facility. Basically your playing after the huge explosion which takes place at the end of the first one.

It is a shame to see though that this game looks just like another FEAR. It was speculated this game would have the player running through the blown up city, but all the in-game video thus far is more indoor combat. Which aint bad - But i've allready played three FEAR games that have the same combat and scares. This game doesn't look any different. I'm sorry, but it really doesnt.
