Warhammer Online Screenshots: Elves and Art

EA Mythic has released three new sets of screenshots for its upcoming fantasy MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (PC), currently in closed beta testing.

The latest deluge of media includes shots of the magic Saphery kingdom, cinematic stills and concept art.

EA Mythic's oft-delayed MMO is presently slated for release in the second quarter of this year.

This game is gonna kick ass. Blizzard can have its loots, its quests, it guilds full of me first loot whores, and its pathetic pvp implementation that still revolves around loot.

I look forward to an MMO that stresses socializing and shared goals, battles with dozens of allies against dozens of foes, with realm wide perks for the victors.

In that map picture, I'm not sure if they have enough towers. Clearly there are a few square feet that are seriously lacking a tower.

Notice that the last 3 screen shots are cinematic stills. ;) The game looks awful. Lighting would spruce it up, but I have a gripe with something more important; the actual game art and design. I've seen many, many screen shots of WHO and while the textures aren't realistic looking or super graphical, it's the art and design that I find VERY bland. Check some of the screen shots of the Gnome territory. It's horrific.
