Team Fortress 2 PC Update Fixes Bugs

While the wait for class-specific achievements, unlockable weapons and the new Goldrush map continues, developer Valve has released an update for the PC version of Team Fortress 2 that resolves a number of glitches.

Changes to the colorful class-based multiplayer shooter include a tweak to the critical modifier for explosive weapons, which had caused the chances of a critical hit to be higher than intended, and the resolution of a bug that allowed Demomen to shoot grenades at point-blank range without taking damage. For the full details, scope out the patch notes.

As with all other titles distributed via Valve's Steam platform, the patch will be automatically downloaded and applied after users restart Steam.

  • No more demoman point blank anymore? Oh well...never really did that anyways because I didn't know I wouldn't take damage. One thing I'm glad about though is that they can't nerf my favorite class, the pyro, since he sucks at pretty much anything but point blank, and even then can get torn down without much problem. Hands down the weakest class already with its 3 foot range with the flamethrower.

However, if you can play that class well(like myself), you'll start to hear people bitching about how the pyro needs to be nerfed, when really they just need to learn how to play their classes better and learn how to utilize class-dependant tactics, as well as developing a trigger happy finger.
