Team Fortress 2 PC Update Fixes Bugs
by Chris Faylor, Mar 07, 2008 8:36am PSTWhile the wait for class-specific achievements, unlockable weapons and the new Goldrush map continues, developer Valve has released an update for the PC version of Team Fortress 2 that resolves a number of glitches.
Changes to the colorful class-based multiplayer shooter include a tweak to the critical modifier for explosive weapons, which had caused the chances of a critical hit to be higher than intended, and the resolution of a bug that allowed Demomen to shoot grenades at point-blank range without taking damage. For the full details, scope out the patch notes.
As with all other titles distributed via Valve's Steam platform, the patch will be automatically downloaded and applied after users restart Steam.

Over the last seven days, it is now less popular than the original Call of Duty, DOD:S and Quake 3 Arena.
Valve really dropped the ball on the map texture variety, depth, and lackof gameplay modes in maps. People just got sick of the game.

Great, valve are like Apple now.
Just stick everything on one tab and add the tag filtering to that. Servers that get dumped onto the custom tab are never full, and no amount of 'education' will fix that.

People. You do not have a level 70 scout that you are locked into. If you think a class is underpowered, there's a real easy way to fix that....

However, if you can play that class well(like myself), you'll start to hear people bitching about how the pyro needs to be nerfed, when really they just need to learn how to play their classes better and learn how to utilize class-dependant tactics, as well as developing a trigger happy finger.
