Sin City Publisher Restructures, Hires New Pres.
The company said that the restructuring is an effort to reduce operating costs and improve its distribution model. Price will take up the office of former president Glenn Wong, who resigned from Red Mile late last month. CFO Ben Zadik also left the company on March 1.
"Red Mile is at a critical stage in its progression as a publisher of world-class game franchises," said Price. "We are making changes to streamline costs while increasing our focus on the development of high-quality games."
Red Mile, which previously published Jackass: The Game (NDS, PS2, PSP) and Heroes Over Europe (PC, PS3, X360), secured licensing rights to adapt Frank Miller's Sin City graphic novels to interactive media in May of 2007, with Union Entertainment aiding in the title's development. Late last year, the publisher licensed Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 middleware for use in the project.
