Audiosurf Ranks as Steam's Best Seller in February

Dylan Fitter's unique musical puzzle racer Audiosurf was the top-selling title on Valve's digital distribution-based Steam platform during February, the company announced today.

Released on February 15, Audiosurf and its $9.95 price point topped the charts both in terms of revenue and units sold. The game, which dynamically creates race tracks based on a user's imported music, outsold such notable titles as Valve's The Orange Box and PopCap's Peggle Deluxe.

"This kind of runaway success for an independent title is a tribute to Dylan's work and millions of informed gamers connecting via Steam each week," said Valve business director Jason Holtman.

Holy crap! This looks fun as hell.
The only thing from the videos I've seen so far is that it's missing jumps/loop-diddy-loop eh Goat and so on. Otherwise it looks wicked. :D

Played this, pretty good, considering I'm not a music fanatic and really rarely listen to much, this game is pretty awesome.

I'm not much of a techno person, but if you can have an e-tarted friend supply some good techno, man, this game becomes really hard.

I was really hoping I'd love this game. It's ok but there's just nothing there to hold my interest. The price point was fantastic though and I thought I may as well just buy it and skip the demo since it was only $10. It's good to see something like this get lots of success.

I liked the demo but it was pretty late when I tried it. Can someone explain: are you trying to only get one color at a time in blocks? or are you trying to get rows of single colors? just a bit confused.
