Rock Band Grateful Dead DLC Pack Due Next Week
by Aaron Linde, Feb 29, 2008 11:55am PSTDeadheads, rejoice: Next week's downloadable content roundup for Rock Band (PS2, PS3, X360) will feature six songs by the Grateful Dead, Harmonix announced on its official Rock Band forum.
The Grateful Dead pack will include "China Cat Sunflower", "Casey Jones", "Sugar Magnolia", "Truckin", "Franklin's Tower", and "I Need A Miracle", all of which are master recordings.
The songs will be available for the Xbox 360 edition on Tuesday, with the PlayStation 3 songs arriving on Thursday. Each track will be priced individually at $1.99, or 160 Microsoft Points, with a bundle pack containing all six songs selling for $9.99, or 800 Microsoft Points. As usual, the content will not be made available for the PlayStation 2 version of the game.
Harmonix had previously announced that 18 Grateful Dead tracks would grace Rock Band, and many of them appeared in a leaked list of upcoming Rock Band DLC. That list contained a number of other notable additions to the Rock Band DLC roster, including Jonathan Coulton's "Still Alive," which has since been confirmed.
