New Silent Hill 5 screenshots have surfaced, offering a glimpse at both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 builds of the game. No release date has been announced for Konami's survival horror game sequel.

Really lacks the claustrophobic feel of the first couple. Everything is so open, even that bathroom and hallway looks way too open. Am I right?

  Didn't the first couple require a cumulus cloud layer on the ground to maintain frame rate? : deadhorse
  - Maybe frame rate, but definitely to keep your vision down so you couldn't see what was coming at you. : famine101

Ugh, they've royally killed the series. Okay okay, I won't make that judgement until I get my hands on a copy and play through it, but it looks really awful so far.

I wasn't a big fan of part 4 but I hope this one is better especially with the 360 on its side

That really is intensely cheap and ugly O.o I hope these are alpha shots, sans all manner of post processing effects. Silent Hill should be beautiful.
