LittleBigPlanet Screens Sell PS3s

Other than the just-dated Metal Gear Solid 4, it's hard to imagine a game selling more PlayStation 3 consoles ahead of its release than Media Molecule's ambitious cooperative platformer LittleBigPlanet.

These particular images form a sort of sea-going pirate narrative, so make sure to view them in their proper order for maximum swashbuckling enjoyment.

Expect LittleBigPlanet to hit this fall exclusively on the PlayStation 3, with a possible beta arriving in late spring.

This game is one of the reasons I'll be getting a PS3 (probably when the new SKU comes out), along with blu-ray, the eventual release of the next God of War, and the next game by the Ico/SotC guys. But so far this game is the Wii's Brawl to my PS3, I just want it that much.

Well, I really want this game. Kinda the only reason for me to buy a PS3, which makes this game really expensive. Especially since I need a new TV for it to look good. I've been mapping since the time of Quake 1 and creating levels in LBP looks easy and fun.

Oh well, Spore will be released in september so I guess I can play that instead, but still... *sigh*
