BioWare Sonic RPG Gets Name, Flaunts Screenshots

Publisher Sega has today titled developer BioWare's upcoming Sonic RPG, officially announcing that Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood will hit the Nintendo DS sometime in 2008.

Is it just me or does Sonic have these disturbing bestiality and homoerotic associations. Maybe it's a combination of that sonic fetish site and the cut scene in the last sonic game. He's just a really gay character living in a gay world.

I'm sure this will be a quality effort coming from Bioware, and another good turn for the Sonic franchise. Though Sonic Rush on DS was a pretty good title, hopefully this will redefine what the Sonic franchise should be developing and make it's way to consoles instead of the shitty Sonic the Hedgehog(360.PS3), Secret of the Rings(Wii), and Riders: Zero Gravity(Wii) that have been done.

I am really excited to see how this game turns out. The Sonic franchise really needs a game to put it back on the map. Too many horrible games over the years have kind of spoiled the franchise and I have been hoping that BioWare will make the game that will lead the turn around.

I'm confused here. Bioware is making a JRPG? Thats what it looks like from the shots. Nice graphics too, but...why sonic? Couldn't they have made their own original characters and settings?

I've been looking forward to this. Apart from the Bioware does JRPGs angle, it looks like a mash-up of Final Fantasy, Pokemon and of course Sonic.
