Blood Bowl Screens Showcase Human-Orc Rivalry

Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Cyanide Studio have sent along several new screenshots from the upcoming PC version of Blood Bowl.

Based on Games Workshop's board game of the same name, Blood Bowl will support both real-time and turn-based play. The game is expected to hit PC and Xbox 360 this year, with Nintendo DS and PSP editions arriving eventually.

As long as the turned based game play is true to the actual board game, I'll be happy. I love the board game, but the games were long due to all of the rolling and what not. It'd be great to have a decent computerized version. I remember the old version for the 486, but that was bad because there were so few options in team management. Just give me an electronic version of the board game, please.

Looks and gameplay are two totally separate issues. I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic about this one. I will say that I think they should be able to handle the turn-based side as that should be fairly easy. It's the live action side that I think will end up as a train wreck. Has this dev ever done a sports title?
