E For All Expo Shifts to Early October
by Aaron Linde, Feb 12, 2008 1:47pm PSTIDG World has announced that E For All 2008 will be moved to October 3 through 5, over a month behind its previously scheduled dates of August 28-30.
The expo's original late August date set it in direct conflict with the Penny Arcade Expo, one of the largest open-to-the-public gaming events in North America. While no details were issued in IDG's original statement concerning the shift, the organization clarified the move in a follow-up comment to Game|Life.
"We are very excited to be holding the event in October, a decision that reflects the great success of the last year's event," said the IDG. "In addition, these dates will overlap with the inaugural GreenXchange environmental event, produced by IDG World Expo and VerdeXchange, scheduled to take place October 1-3 at the LACC."
Last year's E For All expo drew some 17,000 attendees to the Los Angeles Convention Center. The 2007 Penny Arcade Expo, meanwhile, boasts a headcount exceeding 37,000.
