Old SF2 Characters Return in Street Fighter 4

7

The identities of six more Street Fighter IV combatants have been disclosed in the latest issue of Japanese gaming publication Famitsu. Unsurprisingly, all of the fighters are returning favorites from Capcom's beloved Street Fighter II games:

  • Blanka, the green-skinned conductor of electricity

  • Dhalsim, the fire-breathing stretchy mystic

  • Chun-Li, the original thunder thighs

  • Guile, the flat-topped military man

  • E. Honda, the slap-happy sumo wrestler

  • Zangief, whose Russian stereotype reinforces you

The six join the existing lineup of confirmed fighters, which, prior to today, consisted of of series standbys Ryu and Ken along with female newcomer Crimson Viper. No platform or release details have been announced for the Capcom-developed fighter, though it will make its playable debut later this month at the AOU 2008 Amusement Expo in Japan.

E.Honda! He's usually overlooked. In fact I haven't played any of the alpha games he's in, just SF2.

      E. Honda is a beast. In fact, most of the big guys were. Balrog, Zangief, Honda, T. Hawk... in the right hands, they were butchers.
