First Golden Axe: Beast Riders Shots Unveiled

Developer Secret Level has released the first screenshots of Golden Axe: Beast Rider, depicting heroine Tyris Flare as she mounts beasts and wields a sword.

Based on the Sega arcade games of old, the action-RPG is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this summer.

        Hell yeah. Fuck cool stylized looks or using your imagination. I can't wait until every game is both photorealistic and modelled after real-world locations, to the point where everything looks exactly like the world around me. That will be SO... FUCKING... AWESOME.

      The original game's art at VGA colours really tried to look photorealistic (within the obvious parameters for such times), in fact, it had some very well crafted backgrounds and sprites.

      Man I loved that game, I remember getting to absolutely, ridiculously difficult stages in the Duel mode.
