FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage on PC in June, PSP in March

Bugbear Entertainment is set for a global release of the PC port of their demolition racer FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (PC, X360) in June of this year, publisher Empire Interactive announced today.

Empire also revealed that SixbyNine's FlatOut: Head On (PSP), a modified port of FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, is primed for worldwide release on March 14. The title was delayed in November of last year from its Fall 2007 release.

I'd love to see a weapons mode to take advantage of the dynamic damage aspect of the game. Blowing off fenders and doors is appealing to me.

I thought that Flatout 2 was better, but I wish they would tweak the control and handling of the cars a bit more. Sometimes it gets frustrating when the car just bounces all over the place. It seems to be off the ground all the time.

I would like to be able to completely turn off the whole "flying through the windshield" thing. The fist few times is amusing, but it gets old after that.

here's hoping they've gone back to the original forumula. The first game was so much fun. Starforce killed #2 as a purchase but it turned out to be a dud anyway. fingers crossed
