America's Army Version 2.8.3 Released
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 31, 2008 12:00pm PSTA new update is now available for America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch), updating the game to v2.8.3. An updated full client is available as well.
The new release doesn't include any new features, but does improve game performance. The full client download size has also been reduced by some 500mb.

(I can't say I'm impressed with the very nature of the game either, no other armed force in the world has the audacity to release a recruitment tool for which the sole purpose is to indoctrinate impressionable teenage gamers to join the military. Shame on the US Army.)

Yes there have been cheaters and hackers, but no more than any other current games and the Devs and the anti cheat communities are constantly on these issues with many updates and websites devoted to outing those asshats who just don't have the skills to play without having extra help for themselves.
