PaRappa Creators' Wii Project Titled Major Minor's Majestic March; First Artwork Released
by Chris Faylor, Jan 31, 2008 8:58am PSTThe new Wii-exclusive rhythm game from PaRappa the Rapper creators Rodney Alan Greenblat and Masaya Matsuura is titled Major Minor's Majestic March, publisher Majesco revealed today along with some artwork.
Developed by Matsuura's NanaOn-Sha studio, the game puts players in charge of a marching band, with the Wii Remote acting as the band leader's baton, requiring them to keep a steady rhythm while recruiting new band members and picking up items. In all, the title will feature 8 locations, 15 different instruments, and more than 30 tracks when it arrives later this year.
"There's something magical about marching bands that truly captures the imagination," said Majesco Europe marketing manager John Merchant. "The combined musical and artistic superiority of Matsuura and Greenblat make them a natural choice to deliver this innovative title exclusively to the Wii audience."
