Just Cause 2 Officially Announced for PC, PS3, 360; First Screenshots Unveiled
by Chris Faylor, Jan 30, 2008 7:58am PSTEidos Interactive has formally announced Just Cause 2, the second entry in the Avalanche Studios-developed open-island action adventure series, and issued the first screenshots of the title.
Due out on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year, the game is said to feature an improved stunt system, new vehicles, and 1000 square kilometers to explore. Though coverage for the console editions began appearing a few weeks ago, the PC version was previously unconfirmed.
"Remember everything you loved about Just Cause, then take it to the next level: vehicles, stunts, weapons, freedom, grappling hook, action, everything," said brand manager Alex Price. "The game world is even more incredible in Just Cause 2 and Rico has done a bit of growing up, so expect quite a few new surprises up his sleeves."
