Turok 360 Demo Now On North American Marketplace

After previously being available in foreign territories, the Turok demo for the Xbox 360 can now be found on the Xbox Live Marketplace in North America. The 1.17gb download allows you to sample the game's singleplayer campaign.

I think I'm the only one who thought it was decent. It's not great, sure, but I was amused by the knife kills. The plasma rifle was nice.

The AI was horrible, yes, as was the squad mate's. Squad AI didn't help, either. Every time he said something, I wanted to kill him horribly and smear the screen with his entrails. The gameplay, however, was fun. I like dinos...

Okay. wow... I won't be buying this game. Horrible demo.

I'll save my money for some of the March-April releases. Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Army of Two and Grand Theft Auto IV will be worth the $60. I feel sorry for anyone that will spend more than $20 to get this game... if it's even worth that much.

Good:

Knife is actually very useful.

Not So Good:

grey / realism aesthetic a-la GoW, corny dialogue, annoying squadmate, incredibly boring weapons, linear, stand and shoot AI, forgettable all around.

Here's the problem (with the PS3 demo}: You start off the game in a damp dark cave. You fidget around for a bit and then a dinosaur jumps out at you and you can't do anything. Then you can't find them. It doesn't help that your gun does basically nothing.

I can't believe I made it out of the caves, I could not see a damn thing. I realize the lack of options in demos is the norm, but christ, if you are going to make your game as dark as Doom 3, atleast let us up the brightness, or include a fucking flashlight.

i'll admit to enjoying the movie trailer i saw of it when i watched "There Will Be Blood".

It has dinosaurs though. I may be biased. The inner child in me has never stopped loving them.

I played the Demo, had hopes, they fell through.

I dunno what they did with the Unreal Engine 3, but it wasn't used effectively IMO. The characters have some sort of light shine surrounding them in the dark and I could not find my way out of the dark caves with much ease.

The gameplay was not to my liking either.
