Morning Discussion

Tuesday is pretty exciting, right? No? Well Hot Coffee was, remember that? But were you also offended by it? Do you pretty pretty pinky promise, under a court valid oath? Then you too can be $35 richer. So we did a little Civilization: Revolution sweepstakes, check here for the possibly amusing responses, I'll have the results up later today. On the topic of Civ, it looks like we might not have a Wii version anytime soon but hearing rumblings on the quality of the DS version more than makes up for it.

There actually is for the speaker not working when receiving a call, but for dead spots you are pretty much screwed and have to send it to apple for a 3 day fix from what I can find on the web.

Well, it would seem my dead strip issue is a little different then most peoples, mines not at the very top or the very bottom as most of the cases are, but about 1" down from the top of the screen. I can deal with it I guess, still kinda sucks though.

One report I read said that about 1/2" down from the top is a very common spot for them.

well, it's worse on the right side of the screen than it is on the left, I can just avoid that area, it's really not affecting the day to day use of the phone as it doesn't seem to go all the way across, so that's good. It probably has to do with the fact I dropped it last week from about 4 feet on onto hard concrete and it put a very so small dent in the silver casing on that side of the case, think where the vibrate switch is on the left side, but on the opposite side theres a small small dent there now. Ah well, I've looked at the replacement cases, but the procedure to get all the crap out of the case doesn't look like something I want to tackle.

ack, this seems to be an almost common issue that pops up with iphones..this sucks, as it is now, the "dead zone" is affecting the usage all that much, it's just annoying to touch a contacts name and it not come up and have to scroll up or down a bit to get to it.
