Rock Band DLC: Pumpkins, Rush, Coheed

While next week's downloadable tracks for Harmonix's Rock Band are an unknown quantity, this week is an unsurprising list.

The songs, which sell individually for 160 Microsoft Points ($2), will include a master track recording of "Siva" by Smashing Pumpkins, as well as covers of Rush's "Working Man" and Coheed and Cambria's "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)."

Expect to see the ditties show up on the Xbox Live Marketplace this Tuesday, followed by a Thursday appearance on the Playstation Store.

I'd really like to see some System of a Down on Rock Band sometime.

I really like Aerials. It's been my ringtone for going on 3 years now.

Or how bout some Jonathon Coulton "Thing a Week" songs? or "Still Alive"?

Definitely downloading the Rush and Pumpkins songs, don't know that Coheed song off hand but I like some of their other songs so I'll give it a listen. More Rush is always good though :D

I haven't had RB but a couple of weeks but let me say that the buying interface in XBL sucks. It is slow to scroll the information on the right, no preview of the song, and unless I'm blind it isn't integrated into the game.

Also I don't enjoy the loading times before and after songs while it loads additional content.

I wish there was a way to hear a snippet of the songs before buying them. A lot of them I have no idea what they are, but if I heard, perhaps they are popular songs. Like with Oasis for instant.. I had no idea what they were but when I heard them I knew them all.
