PlayStation Store Update: PixelJunk Monsters, Oasis Rock Band Pack and Stranglehold DLC

Q-Games' PixelJunk Monsters (PS3) and other new content are now available for download at the PlayStation Store.

A nod to the tower defense genre, PixelJunk Monsters features strategic gameplay in which players must defend their castle from hordes of advancing monsters. The title is available now for $7.99.

New downloadable content includes three Oasis songs for Harmonix's Rock Band (PS2, PS3, X360), announced earlier this week and already available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, priced at $1.99 a piece or $5.49 as a bundle. Midway Chicago's Stranglehold (PC, PS3, X360) is also getting an update with a new map pack, featuring 10 new multiplayer maps and 21 character skins, available for $14.99.

Demos of Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, X360) and Bizarre Creations' The Club (PC, PS3, X360) are now available on the PlayStation Store for free download. Finally, SingleTrac's Jet Moto 2 (PSX) is the latest addition to the store's classic PlayStation lineup, priced at $5.99.

why oh why doesn't ps3 have demos before downloading these inexpensive games like xbl does... i've wanted to try out everyday shooter and pixeljunk could be interesting, but i won't drop $8-10 on these games if I have no idea whether they're any good. I've bought a ton of xbl games based on liking the demos, and there are also a ton I might have bought but then realized I didn't like them after playing the demo...

sony: demos are good, are you listening? :D
