Gordon Freeman Calls into Coast to Coast AM
by Chris Remo, Jan 21, 2008 12:33pm PSTA particular audio recording has been floating around gaming circles. It features a call-in segment from the long-running paranormal-themed late night radio show Coast to Coast AM, founded by the legendary Art Bell and now hosted by George Noory, in which a caller named "Gordon" claims to be a "theoretical physicist" working on "portal technology" at a "research facility," where he is being strangely stalked by a mysterious figure he calls the "G-man."
Sound familiar?
We've got it hosted on our state of the art high-tech internet computer servers. You can stream it now, or download it directly. It's a great listen; I recommend it.
As far as I can tell, the identity of the caller is not currently known.
This isn't the first time Coast to Coast has been connected to video games. Art Bell himself recorded several broadcasts for Human Head's Prey, serving to update the player on the current events of alien-occupied Earth. A less authentic reference in Rockstar North's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the fictional radio show "Area 53," an obvious take-off on Coast to Coast.
