Bionic Commando Rearmed Media Released

Capcom has released the first media of Bionic Commando Rearmed, the GRIN-developed remake of the original 2D Bionic Commando that was revealed yesterday.

Included in the barrage of assets were screenshots, character artwork by Toshiaki Mori, and a trailer.

Among other features, Rearmed sports 2 player co-op and online leaderboards along with the ability to unlock content in the GRIN-developed 3D Bionic Commando sequel, which hits PC, PS3, and X360 later this year.

A digitally-distributed title slated to be available exclusively from online marketplaces, Bionic Commando Rearmed will be downloadable on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this spring.

I cannot freaking WAIT for this. My only concern is how well the controls will do on a PC, seems thumbsticks on 360 would suit this one really well. I might just be getting a 360 controller then.

There needs to be more games like this made, I love the old school side scrolling games! The ability for easier development, and the popularity of downloadable games on consoles make this a viable business model for some I would think.

Short version - I want this and more like it! Side scrolling Duke Nukem please! :)

Everyone seens to have missed out on one of those classic games that makes people question their gamer status. BC is one of those games for me. I'm really looking forward to this, and as much as I'm looking forward to playing the remake, I'm hoping the original makes its way to the Virtual Console so I can try the re-imagining AND the original.

As cool as this is (I love the original dearly) I still think the bloom is over used. It makes everything look a little too cloudy and fuzzy. They should tone it down a notch.

i can't wait for this! i never finished the first one because i would always die after the first 5 or 6 levels and then just never have enough time to play through again. hopefully this has a save system or something.
