First Official Screens From GarageGames' Web-based Fallen Empires: Legions Released

What kind of technology are they using for this? Surely you can't do a browser game that looks like this with Flash or Silverlight??

Man, looks like some of those screenshots are photoshopped. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Does that mean we can finally have that Eugene Shackmeet when the Shack Crew comes here to check out the Fallen Empires build in person? :P

I think they are a bit misleading about the whole browser thing and its not good. Maybe I'm wrong, but most people seem to think these games will play in the browser. Personally I think its going to be more like Steam. The game itself installs and runs through it but not in the browser. I hope thats the case.

Also, I like that they are sticking to building on the core and getting it right, but please GG, dont get all whack over TribalWar's opinion. I like classic style and a good platform for man on man competition and pubbing, but I hope the intent is to also bring on some of the more tactical play later which "would" include a few "balanced" vehicles and some deployables. Tribes 2 really was a great game. It just turned off so many because they nerfed everything to hell when they released it.

I'm really excited about what these 'light' browser launched games can do for PC gaming. It's tapping this vast space between flash games and fully blown 3d games that has a lot of room for some interesting stuff to happen.

Gameplay, gameplay, gameplay. This is all that counts. Graphics can take a back seat. I eagerly await the next vid.

Interesting. Those characters need some love though, kind of stand out from everything else in some shots.
