It looks like a pretty noticable difference in the shots, but I didn\'t find it that much better in the game. There was still a \"shimmering\" effect on edges when you move around, although it was less pronounced.
However, the textures and the overall image quality seemed worse, kind of like if you were looking at a JPG instead of an uncompressed image.
And of course it\'s MUCH slower. Maybe it\'ll work for NFS or some other old games, but not in Quake3.
By the way, you can enable and disable AA even while running Q3, just do a vid_restart for the change to take effect.

Ok, the sky sucks, but look at the texture just under the crosshair. It\'s got this weird discoloration effect and you can tell exactly where the edges of the texture are. UUUUGLY. And it happens all over the level, where before you had nice smooth walls, now you have these tiled textures.
I REALLY hope this is just a temporary problem and not a flaw in S3TC or in the GeForce.

And notice the banding in the sky... ugh. I hope that\'s something they can get sorted out

That\'s a normal screenshot, but it shows 1/4 of the screen. That\'s 800x600 32x32 at about 30fps

I\'d love to see Lonely Planet in full detail.
Any reports? Framerate increase? Hard Drive explode?
