        It's not me, it's the WGA. The upshot is that the production process is a lot different, and there's a much bigger onus left on the hosts -- which in turn means that the material will begin to run stale and they'll start getting burnt out.
        
        The writer's are what keep the show consistent and fresh, and add an air of preperation and refinement. These shows can run without writers because they haven't talenented hosts, but even the best improv artist can't keep the quality up 4-5 nights a week for 30-60 minutes at a time.
