I hope this doesnt turn out to be R6V- 2.5 Thats what Ubi did with Ghost Recon. It felt more like an add on then anything.

After watching a sniper being used like a assault rifle and someone just randomly spraying bullets from a LMG everywher I've lost even more faith in the R6 series. Then again after GRAW2 turned into BF2 I was pretty skeptical.

This game just looks like its full of eye candy, a poor attempt at leeching off a sucessful genere, and a money grab at the sort that plays Gears of War rather then R6 style games.

*sigh* I bought R6:Vegas and GRAW. GRAW seemed to be the last good tom clancy game made. Can't wait till Vegas 3, now with 3x the speed and 100% sniper rifles when you jump. Practice your headshot today!

I enjoyed the first Vegas title, but I don't think I'd pay more than 30 or 40 bucks for this quick follow-up. While I enjoy most of Ubisoft's titles, I don't like paying much for their quick sequels. While I still enjoyed GRAW2, there's NO way I would've paid a full 60 bucks for what was essentially an expansion pack -- I.E. more content with zero new features. Ubisoft has been doing this for years -- at least the Splinter Cell series has been a true sequel each time.

How does R6 find itself exposed, in the middle of an open theater, covered by higher ground on all sides? These guys seem to be more about looking tactical than acting tactical. That sort of behavior should get your whole team wiped out.

Ya nothing pisses me off more than stupid movies that dont show any in game footage. And I'll be you that UBI has done the same dam thing they did with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. They make #2 a couple of months later and it's the same dam thing! Nothing new. It's like they purposefully keep material back so they can throw out more of the same in a shorter period of time. You wont be getting my money UBI soft!

Huh, I'm pretty sure I played that level already... sans the blue clear plastic on stage.. Dante's Casino in the opera room. And wow, another pure CG trailer with the same opening sequence as before. Fuck Ubi... if you're that ashamed of the in-game engine, take more time with the game...

This just in from the Ubisoft board room:

CEO: "Ok guys. Rainbow Six Vegas was a success. We made a shooter with a solid cover system, and satisfying gameplay. But what made the game was the interesting setting that really hadn't been done before. And on top of all that, people bought it. Lots of people. If possible, I'd like to repeat that success. Suggestions?"

Designer 1: "How about we drop the team into a militia ruled East African setting. Rocky terrain, jungle and... get this, a permanent refugee camp of hundreds of thousands of people of the type they have over there."

Designer 2: "We set the game in Southeast Asia. Rainbow does its thing in Angkor Wat, the southern Thai archipelago and a finale set in the Korean DMZ."

Designer 3: "Wait... I''ve got it. Picture this. Vegas. Opera house. Ultra expensive casinos and restaurants."

Just to offset all the negativity, I'm pumped for this. Vegas was one of my most played games in 2007. Sure it wasn't as tactical as the previous RB6s, but it was still fun as hell.
