New DS Media: Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

In celebration of the new year, Nintendo has released screenshots illustrating two of its soon-to-be-released Nintendo DS titles.

Developed by series creator Intelligent Systems, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is the first in the franchise to feature online multiplayer. The turn-based strategy title arrives on January 21.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village, meanwhile, mixes the logic puzzles of Nintendo's Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! (NDS) with developer Level-5's predilection towards a charming aesthetic and story. It hits February 11.

Advance Wars really makes me want to have a NDS. I only played AW2 on the GBA, and that was just so fucking amazing for a little hand-held console game. If I hadn't spent so much money in the last few months (car, deposit and commission for a flat, stuff for flat, Xbox 360) I'd be tempted to buy one.

I'm buying Advance Wars day one. I missed out on the last version because I didn't know about it till i borrowed a friend's copy. Couldn't find a copy anywhere. Not happening this time
