A couple of quick comments:
*I'm pretty sure that in the old version of the guide, you had a sentence about the Combine contacting Breen before they made their full-out invasion (in Section 1.3 I believe). It made more sense to me that they would do this -- have a 'puppet' in place so that when they did attack Earth, the surrender would be swift. This section is gone from the current guide, and I think it made for a nice continuity between sections 1.3 and 1.4.
*also, you mention that the events of Portal take place in both Section 1.4 and 1.5.
