All Xbox 360 Rock Band DLC Now Available in Canada, Official Site Relaunches with Community Focus
by Chris Faylor, Dec 20, 2007 7:45am PSTWith Harmonix's Rock Band (PS2, PS3, X360) officially headed to stores in the great white north today, Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb reports that all of downloadable content released thus far is now available through Canada's Xbox Live Marketplace.
Included in the deluge of new songs are offerings from David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Wolfmother, The Police, Weezer, Radiohead, Ramones, and many more. Individual tracks sell for 160 Microsoft Points, whereas a pre-selected three-song bundle runs 440 Microsoft Points.
While Microsoft held off on releasing the content until the game was officially released in the country, Canadian PlayStation 3 owners have been able to purchase the tracks through the online PlayStation Store the same day they were released in the United States.
In related news, the official Rock Band community page has relaunched with its host of promised features, which include detailed profiles, blogs, online leaderboards, and the ability to link forum accounts to a poster's PlayStation Network or Xbox Live name.
As it has in the past, the site once again allows users to suggest tracks and artists they'd like to see in the game. Shacknews heartily encourages it readers to partake in this activity--preferably after reading our list of most wanted Rock Band tracks
