Traditional Kingdom Under Fire Game in Development

Blueside's upcoming Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (X360) takes a more action-oriented approach to the original series' real-time tactical battles, but the Xbox-exclusive series will apparently return to its roots after Circle of Doom's release on January 8.

"We are currently working on a 'traditional' real-time strategy sequel to The Crusaders, as well," Blueside's Henry Lee told 1up.

Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders (Xbox) was the first title in the Kingdom Under Fire series, created by developers at Phantagram who went on to form Blueside. Lee went on to say he hopes both strains of Kingdom Under Fire can coexist as separate series, with the games following in the footsteps of Circle of Doom appealing to a wider audience.
