Resident Evil: Degeneration Trailer Released

The first trailer for Resident Evil: Degeneration has infected the internet, providing the general public with its first look at the Capcom-helmed CG film.

Based on the footage, which features series mainstays Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy, the events of the movie appear set within the confines of the established Resident Evil mythology, instead of deviating from it as Paul W.S. Anderson's live-action trilogy did.

Resident Evil: Degeneration is due out in 2008. Though Capcom has yet to specify if it will first be released in theaters or if it will go straight to retail, the involvement of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment strongly suggests the latter.

Fisrt off, it is the first RE film that is like RE unlike the films that were made. My only fear is that it might not be gore and blood thirsty like the games, if it is i have no concerns and will watch whatever the story is like. The characters have a reason to be there unlike the films that were made.

they gotta make a RE title where you have a bunch of insanely horny chicks running after you everywhere you go and you have to knock the heads off the ugly ones with your 12" meat stick.. then they could make a movie out of it.. man why doesnt anyone ever like my ideas :(

also, i realize this is just an early trailer, but i REALLY hope the final movie doesnt employ the incessant-black-frame flickering, ever.
