BioWare Wwises Up, Licenses Even More MMO Tech
by Chris Faylor, Dec 12, 2007 9:20am PSTThough BioWare Austin has yet to formally reveal much of its forthcoming MMO--heavily rumored to be set in the Star Wars: Knights of Old Republic universe--the company seems intent on reminding the gaming public of the project through constant announcements of licensed technologies.
The latest addition to BioWare Austin's ever-increasing stable of licensed tech is Audiokinetic's Wwise, which the provider describes as an "audio solution" suite.
"We wanted a complete authoring environment that would facilitate the development of a rich audio experience, and we've found Wwise to be a great fit," said BioWare Austin co-studio director Gordon Walton.
"Over the time, our online game will evolve and so will our needs," he continued. "We see Audiokinetic as a excellent partner who has the capability to bring us more tools in the future that will help us create an unrivalled gaming experience."
