Not like I actually know much, but I once spent 2 hours fiddling with a hard drive I was installing because
the damn thing looked plugged in correctly, but wasn\'t.

TERATOGEN, get another harddrive, same model, change the electronics on it, and try then, if you can\'t detect it from the bios, if you can\'t detect it from the OS, just install dos or something :)
