Rockstar Releases More GTA 4 Screenshots

Following the debut of yesterday's trailer, Rockstar has issued a new batch of Grand Theft Auto 4 screenshots illustrating scenes not shown in the video.

Hi..Im gonna get it 4 xbox 360....Can u fly planes and u know the boats ( i dont mean the dinghys ) can u actually pilot them??? cos if u can it will make the game even better than all the otha gta's cos it will make it more realistic!!!

You know, the Statue of Liberty looks like crap in that shot. I mean, yeah, it looks like a lower-than-needed polygon version of the SOL but come on, this is 2007. The statues in Oblivion look better (though, the statues in Oblivion don't have a real-life counterpart to compare to)

It's great, I mean, it's good enough, GTA was never about the super graphics anyway.

But I think it's a bit funny, for some reason it feels like the quality has downgraded since the first batch of images and trailer. I'm not sure if it's just my perception or now that they're closer to release we're seeing more real, lower poly models.

I dunno if its just my laptop screen, but it looks like they're going for a slight DV look with the oversaturated blues, colour fringing, slight softness etc. I think its pretty sweet that we've got to the stage where cinematography can be used in a game to shape the feeling of the world, like film.
