Second PSP Exclusive Downloadable Title Arrives on PlayStation Online Store

4
SCEE London Studio's song-utilizing music game Beats (PSP) has arrived on Sony's PlayStation Store for PC, not to be confused with Sony's Playstation Store for PS3. The $4.99 game requires 237MB of free space on a PSP's memory stick.

Similar in theory to NanaOn-Sha's Japan- and Europe-only PSone title Vib-Ribbon, Beats creates gameplay based on a user's selected track, stored on the PSP's memory card. The game is the second title exclusively available as a PSP download, the first being Sony Bend's Syphon Filter: Combat Ops (PSP).

The title features both single player and up to four-player ad-hoc multiplayer in both competitive and cooperative versions.

This sounds so awesome but I'm not sure if I want to deal with the hassle of updating my PSP firmware and doing the PC-PSP transfer.

It's easy. I just did it a few day ago. Was playing wipeout 10 mins after figuring out the Ps3 usb cable worked for the psp.

It's as easy as filling your MP3 player with music, mang!

What hassle? Assuming you have Wifi, you just click a few buttons and wait a few minutes and the firmware is updated.
